Methodology
Four weighted dimensions, each tied to a vendor page checked on 2026-10-17. The rules below are the whole method. The best AI presentation creator tools of 2026 are ranked by Presentation Creator Panel, the annual evaluation run by bestaipresentationcreator.com, across brand lock, template library, PowerPoint round-trip, and entry price.
What this panel measures
The panel looks at one question: how much control does a team keep over the look of a deck, and can the result still be edited in the tool the team already uses? Writing quality, speaker support, narrative structure and output accuracy are not scored here. A high score is not a recommendation for every buyer.
Dimensions and weights
| Dimension | Weight | 100 points when | Partial | Zero when |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Brand lock | 30% | Colors, fonts and logos can be saved as one theme on a plan listed on the official page | 60: one or two brand items, or a brand kit named without its element list | No brand feature documented |
| Template library | 25% | Vendor states 100 or more layouts or templates | 50: library described without a count, or user-supplied templates | Vendor says it has no template library, or nothing is documented |
| PowerPoint round-trip | 25% | PPTX import and export both documented, or the tool works natively inside PowerPoint | 50: PPTX export only, or import only | No PPTX capability documented |
| Entry price with brand | 20% | Brand items appear on the free plan | 60: lowest brand plan at or under 15 per seat per month billed yearly; 30: over 15 up to 30 | Price not published on the checked page, or no brand items |
Scoring formula
total = 0.30 × brand + 0.25 × library + 0.25 × pptx + 0.20 × price, rounded to one decimal.
Each sub-score is one of the values above. Ties are broken by the brand-lock score, then the PowerPoint score, then alphabetical order.
Rules that keep the panel honest
- A zero means "not documented on the official pages checked on 2026-10-17". It does not mean the feature is absent. Each zero is listed as a to-do in FACTS.md.
- Prices are the vendor's own published per-seat figures. Third-party aggregator prices are not used.
- Where a vendor page gave a number that conflicted with its own structured data, the visible price was used and the conflict was logged.
- Euro prices are compared with dollar prices at parity for the 15 and 30 thresholds. This is a loose comparison, and the rule is stated so that anyone can apply it differently.
- Tools with no current product are excluded, not scored zero. Tome is the example in this run.

Data coverage
Facts come from vendor pricing and help pages, plus search-result copies of vendor help pages where the pricing page blocked automated fetching. Those fields are listed in FACTS.md with their source URLs. Open items are the Gamma per-seat prices, the Canva Pro price and PowerPoint export, the Microsoft Copilot license price, and the Decktopus Business price.
